About Candice Behm
Passionate about power skating and dedicated to helping players enhance their performance, Candice Behm is a highly experienced and qualified power skating instructor holding a master of science in sports psychology and a bachelor of science majoring in exercise science.
Experience:
- Candice has been coaching power skating for over 26 years, working with players of all levels, from youth to professional including Pro North American and Europe, CIS, NCAA, WHL, OHL, USHL, KIJHL, AJHL, BCHL, MJHL, SIJHL, NAHL, AEHL, HSL, CSSHL, JPHL.
- Her expertise improved speed, agility, and overall skating technique with video analysis. She has an expert eye for biomechanics, and her proven progression of fundamental skating along with individual feedback and custom progression.
- Personal Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Glencoe Club since 2001
- Coach of drafted athletes in WHL and NHL
- Coach of National and Provincial Athletes
- Coach of Champions at various levels in hockey and ringette
- Over 5000 hours of experience on the ice
- Presenter for Mental Performance, High Performance at the Glencoe Club.
- Presenter and Guest Lecturer for Skate Alberta/NT/NU
Certifications:
Candice Behm is a certified ChPC with Coaching Canada, NCCP Level 3. She holds numerous coaching and fitness training certifications and continues to expand her knowledge through ongoing education and training around the world. She is a professor at Mount Royal University.
